The requirement

Rush Cigars sells cigars and related tobacco products only to customers who meet that requirement. Placing an order is your confirmation that you do.

At checkout

You are asked to confirm your age before an order can be completed. We may also carry out additional verification checks on an order where we have reason to doubt the age of the purchaser, and we may ask for identification before shipping.

At delivery

Every shipment containing tobacco is sent with an adult signature requirement. The carrier will ask the person accepting the parcel to sign, and may ask for government-issued photo identification showing they meet the legal age.

If nobody of legal age is available to accept the parcel, it will not be left. The carrier will leave a notice and either re-attempt delivery or hold the parcel at a depot for collection.

Refused and cancelled orders

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we cannot satisfy ourselves that the purchaser meets the legal age requirement. Cancelled orders are refunded in full.

Buying tobacco products on behalf of someone under the legal age is an offence. We report suspected attempts to do so where the law requires it.

Provincial restrictions

The minimum legal age and the rules on shipping tobacco vary across Canada. Where the law of your province or municipality prevents us from delivering to you, we will cancel and refund the order rather than ship it.

It is your responsibility to ensure that receiving the products you order is lawful at your address.
